Purpose/Objective


    The Regional Manager - B2B will drive strategic growth and operational excellence in the B2B segment for the Cement business unit in the Kolkata region. This role is pivotal in expanding market share, enhancing customer relationships, and delivering sustainable business solutions aligned with Ambuja Cements and ACC Limited’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The position supports the business unit’s priorities of achieving operational efficiency, leveraging green energy initiatives, and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders to meet ambitious growth and sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    - Develop and execute regional B2B sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including large-scale infrastructure developers, contractors, and institutional buyers. - Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement targeted campaigns that align with the Cement business unit’s sustainability and innovation goals. - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks. - Lead negotiations and contract management for high-value B2B deals, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and objectives. - Drive adoption of sustainable and innovative cement products, leveraging the business unit’s green product catalogue and decarbonization initiatives. - Utilize data analytics tools to track sales performance, forecast demand, and optimize resource allocation. - Ensure seamless coordination with supply chain and logistics teams to meet customer delivery timelines and quality expectations. - Mentor and develop the regional sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. - Represent the Cement business unit in industry forums and events to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.

Qualifications and Experience


    Required Qualifications & Experience - Proven track record of 10+ years in B2B sales, preferably within the cement or construction materials industry. - Expertise in managing large-scale accounts and driving revenue growth in a competitive market. - Strong understanding of sustainable business practices and innovative product solutions in the cement sector. Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. - MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Sales & Marketing is preferred. Years & Type of Experience - Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on strategic account management and business development. - Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing cross-functional teams. Domain Expertise - In-depth knowledge of the cement industry, including product specifications, applications, and market dynamics. - Familiarity with sustainable and innovative cement products, such as those listed in the GRIHA green product catalogue. - Experience in leveraging data analytics for sales forecasting and performance optimization. Digital & Operational Tools - Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce or SAP Customer Experience. - Familiarity with data analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI for sales performance tracking. - Knowledge of supply chain management systems to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Leadership Capabilities - Strategic thinking and ability to align regional sales initiatives with organizational goals. - Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution. - Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving high performance and accountability. - Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and forecasting revenue.
