Job Description

Role Overview

Architectural LED Lighting will be responsible for driving business growth by developing strong relationships with architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, PMC, contractors, and key project stakeholders. The role demands a blend of technical understanding, design sensitivity, and strong sales acumen to promote premium LED lighting solutions for high-end architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development Sales

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for architectural lighting products.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and institutional sectors.
  • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline with regular forecasting.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, lighting designers, MEP consultants, and developers.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and design-oriented consultations.
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure excellent client satisfaction.

3. Project Specification Management

  • Ensure brand specification with architects/consultants and track specifications until order closure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for BOQs, quotations, technical submittals, samples, mock-ups, and project requirements.
  • Support site visits, lighting layout discussions, and installation coordination when required.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor products, pricing, and market activities.
  • Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to improve or customize offerings.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with design, supply chain, operations, and finance for seamless project execution.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments according to company policies.

Key Skills Requirements

  • Proven experience in

    Architectural / Decorative / Commercial LED Lighting Sales

    (mandatory) or a similar Building Material product portfolio.
  • Strong network with architects, designers, and consultants.
  • Good understanding of lighting concepts: CRI, CCT, optics, beam angles, lux levels, technical parameters.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read drawings, lighting layouts, and BOQs (preferred).
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and strong follow-up skills.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics) / Architecture / Interior Design / Business Management preferred.
  • Lighting certification (optional but beneficial): Dialux, Relux, IES courses.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of sales targets.
  • Number of new architect/specifier accounts onboarded.
  • Specification wins conversion ratio.
  • Revenue from key projects.
  • Timely payment collection.
