Our mission, through our K-12 brand “Pumpa - Smart Learning,” is to utilise technology to make education engaging and enjoyable, with meaningful outcomes, enabling students to perform better in their exams. We implement globally recognised best learning methodologies to deliver the best personalised online tutoring accessible to students in India. We offer learning programs for CBSE classes 7-10, as well as Tamil and Hindi-speaking students. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR This is a senior leadership role responsible for spearheading Pumpa’s expansion across India, with a strategic focus on the Hindi-speaking market. The Regional Head will own the region’s sales performance, lead and mentor a large B2C sales team, and build scalable processes to drive growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep regional expertise, a strong track record in leading high-growth teams, and the ability to align execution with company-wide goals. To succeed, the Regional Head must establish clear and consistent sales processes, build a healthy pipeline with accurate 3-month forecasts, and implement strong funnel management practices. This includes ensuring optimal team capacity, maintaining a steady flow of qualified leads, and closely tracking funnel conversion rates. The role involves monitoring a robust set of KPIs, including activity metrics (calls, connects, demos), conversion ratios (lead-to-demo, demo-to-sale), and outcome measures (revenue per BDE, AOV) to drive performance and accountability at every level. The Regional Head will oversee structured onboarding and training for new hires, enforce daily huddle routines, and ensure every BDE follows a standardised sales playbook. Lead distribution will be automated through our CRM to ensure fairness and speed. Regular weekly performance reviews and monthly strategy check-ins will enable the swift identification of weak points in the funnel and the timely implementation of corrective actions, such as additional training or resource reallocation. Infrastructure setup will also be a core responsibility, including establishing fully equipped sales hubs in key cities, ensuring BDEs and TLs have access to the necessary tools (such as Zoho CRM, headsets, and calling setups), and creating a work environment that supports focus and morale. Operational support, including on-site recruiters and admin teams, will ensure smoother hiring, onboarding, and daily operations. A centralised repository of sales material will serve as the team’s knowledge backbone, enabling consistent learning and quality control across the region. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA The region’s sales and revenue goals, including lead generation planning in collaboration with the marketing team Team structure, scaling, and management - Quickly build a team of approximately 150 BDEs, sufficient Team Leaders, trainers, and quality personnel over the next three months and establish a flat team structure. Create and implement processes - The RH does not manage daily operations directly but should build autonomous processes that enable teams to collaborate and work effectively. Cross-Department Collaboration - The RH must collaborate with the Finance, Marketing, Product, and HR departments to ensure overall company goals are on track. For example, the RH must prepare the sales script/pitch if the marketing department targets specific Hindi-speaking cities and with the Finance department on quarterly plans and budgets.
