Quality Assurance Manager

• Lead and manage the Quality Control function, ensuring all materials, components, and final products meet aerospace and defense quality standards
• Develop and implement quality control processes aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and other applicable standards
• Oversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process items, and final products using advanced tools and techniques
• Manage and mentor QC engineers, inspectors, and technicians, ensuring adherence to defined SOPs and training requirements
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Interface with external auditors, certification bodies, and defense clients during quality audits and product validations
• Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), calibration records, and test certificates
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, 8D, and other quality methodologies
• Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality performance and compliance
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment (CMM, NDT tools, etc.)
• Support first article inspection (FAI), product release, and configuration control per aerospace/defense contract requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• 10 to 14 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing industries
• In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as

• Hands-on experience with quality tools: FMEA, PPAP, 8D, SPC, MSA, RCA, CAPA, etc.
• Familiarity with military/defense documentation protocols (e.g., DDPs, QAPs, ATPs, etc.)
• Proficiency in using QC instruments such as CMM, profile projectors, hardness testers, NDT tools, and GD&T
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication for audit interactions and reporting

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

  Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

• NADCAP
