Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of steel products through the
implementation and management of quality control processes.This role involves overseeing quality assurance activities, collaborating with production teams,and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.Focus on the function, monitor supplier Quality, Process quality and product qualityManaging Audits and Inspection internal as well externalHandling customer complaints & providing necessary feedback on Quality issues,BE/ B Tech in Metallurgical / Mechanical Engineering r a related fieldProven 7 to 10 yrs. experience in Industrial / Manufacturing / Steel Processing companieswith min last 3-5 yrs. as Quality manager role.In-depth knowledge of steel processing techniques, standards, and specifications.Familiarity with quality management systems and tools.Exposure to ERP implementationGood exposure in Quality Management, Audits, and Inspection with Ductile Iron making / Steelindustry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, andlogistics, to achieve overall business objectives.Participate in cross-functional meetings to address quality-related issues and initiatives.o Role holder will lead, develop, ensure implementation of the QMS, processes and SOP inthe existing and newly acquired Business Units.o Establish quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and therequirements of customerso Continuous review of the existing SOPs to ensure quality excellenceo Be the main customer-facing contact for the company with key customers in presentingthe company's quality program and addressing issues raised in customer quality auditso Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that they are capable ofconsistently producing products that meet quality, integrity, functionality, and otherspecifications and requirements.o Collaborates with management and senior resources across production departmentsand roles to draft acceptable quality standards.o Assist the SBUs to develop methodologies to prevent non-conformances, customercomplaints, concession and rework and to develop corrective and preventative actionswithin required timeframeo Actively develop tools to measure the cost of quality and assist SBUs in developingprograms to reduce these costs including through the reduction of in-house scrap andwaste, rejects and customer returns.o Explore low-cost automation techniques to assess and monitor quality levels whilereducing manual sampling/testing including automated vision and inspection systems
