Quality Assurance Manager

• Quality Management System (QMS):

• Establish, implement, and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and other relevant standards.
• Develop, review, and approve SOPs, work instructions, and quality manuals.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits with accreditation bodies.

• Leadership & Oversight:

• Supervise QA/QC staff and provide guidance to laboratory teams on quality practices.
• Ensure proper training and competency assessment of laboratory personnel.
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Testing & Compliance:

• Ensure all oil testing methods (ASTM, BIS, ISO) are validated and consistently applied.
• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and performance verification of laboratory instruments.
• Monitor proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate QA records, audit reports, and corrective/preventive action logs.
• Prepare management review reports and quality performance dashboards.
• Ensure traceability of samples, test results, and certificates of analysis.

• Client & Regulatory Interface:

• Act as the primary contact for clients on quality-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and accreditation agencies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements and petroleum industry standards (ASTM, IP, BIS, ISO).
• Proven track record in laboratory audits, method validation, and accreditation processes.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments used in oil testing (e.g., GC, HPLC, viscometers, spectrophotometers).
• Deep understanding of oil testing methodologies and quality systems.
• Ability to lead QA teams, mentor staff, and enforce compliance culture.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Skilled in preparing audit reports, QA manuals, and performance dashboards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and regulatory interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, audits, and improvement initiatives simultaneously.
