Senior Maintenance Engineer

Job Title:

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for blending units, filling lines, pumps, compressors, boilers, gearboxes, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures, diagnose root causes, and ensure quick corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize production downtime during maintenance.
• Ensure optimum performance of critical assets like pumps, agitators, mixers, packaging lines, and utility systems (HVAC, cooling towers, DG sets).
• Recommend and implement modifications, upgrades, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Maintain adequate stock of critical spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, ISO, and statutory safety regulations.
• Maintain documentation as per industry standards for audits (ISO, OHSAS, environmental).
• Conduct risk assessments and promote a safe working environment.
• Supervise and guide technicians, fitters, and contract maintenance teams.
• Train staff on equipment handling, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
• Coordinate with production, QA, and utility teams for smooth operations.
• Implement root cause analysis (RCA), 5S, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Drive projects related to cost reduction, energy conservation, and equipment efficiency.
