Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operations at our lube blending facility. The role involves managing production, maintenance, quality control, safety, logistics and overall plant performance, ensuring smooth and cost-efficient operations in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning, Execution & Dispatch:

Plan, schedule and oversee daily production activities including blending, filling, and packaging of lubricants.

Optimize blending processes to ensure quality, consistency and efficiency.

Ensuring On-time delivery of shipments.

Planning & Communication of Raw material & Spares requirement to supply chain function.

2. Supply Chain & Inventory Management:

Coordinate with procurement, stores and logistics for timely availability of base oils, additives, and packaging materials.

Maintain optimal inventory levels and control costs.

3. Quality Assurance:

Ensuring quality production, developing, implementing & maintaining a quality assurance plan.

Ensuring compliance with facility ISO standards, all HSE guidelines, Customer Requirements, group corporate policies & statutory requirements.

Ensure compliance with product quality standards as per ISO standards. Liaise with the QA/QC team to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.

4. Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, fire protection, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) guidelines.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the workforce.

5. Plant Upkeep/Maintenance:

Ensure upkeep of all equipments & Machines.

Addressing the machine breakdown. Preparing & executing preventive maintenance schedule.

Improving machine availability rate.

Maintaining overall housekeeping, 5S & Visual Management

6. Team Leadership:

Lead, train and motivate operations staff including supervisors, engineers, and plant workers.

Drive productivity and maintain high team morale.

7. Budgeting & Cost Control:

Develop Operating & Capital Budget.

To ensure that all relevant costs are within targets & improving in line with organization targets /standards.

Participates in long-range plant expansion, conversion, and equipment planning.

8. Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports.

Track KPIs and implement corrective measures as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering /MBA(Operations) or related field.

Experience:

15+ years of experience in operations management in the lubricants or chemical blending industry.

Proven track record of managing lube blending plant operations, including batch and continuous blending systems.

Strong knowledge of ISO standards, BIS certifications, and statutory compliance in oil/lubricant manufacturing.
