Its certifications include FSSC 22000, BRC, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP+, FAMI-QS, Kosher, and Halal, showcasing its adherence to the highest international standards We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance & Operations Manager to oversee and manage the entire quality, production, and operational workflow of our agro-commodity processing facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in seed cleaning, grading, splitting, roasting, powdering, and food-safety compliance within commodity manufacturing setups. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless operations, quality consistency, regulatory compliance, team management, process optimization, and customer satisfaction. ⸻ Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Assurance & Compliance • Establish, implement, and monitor SOPs for guar seed, cumin seed, and other agro-commodity processing lines. • Ensure products meet defined quality parameters such as protein content, microbiology, moisture, ash, particle size, and other functional properties. • Manage in-house lab operations, including daily sampling, testing, and documentation. • Handle statutory requirements: FSSAI, APEDA, Organic/NOP/NPOP, Sedex, ISO, HACCP, and customer audits. • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or customer complaints. • Maintain batch-wise COAs, traceability records, and QMS documentation. 2. Operations Management • Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities across cleaning, sortex, splitting, roasting, grinding, and packing units. • Optimize manpower allocation, machine utilization, and production efficiency. • Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely order execution. • Ensure preventive and regular maintenance of equipment like sortex, graders, pulverizers, roasters, and guar splitting machinery. • Drive workflow improvements and operational excellence initiatives. 3. Inventory & Process Control • Monitor raw material quality at intake and ensure correct storage conditions. • Oversee WIP and finished goods stock management. • Implement yield control, loss analysis, and wastage reduction strategies. • Maintain accurate production reports, MIS, and operational data. 4. Team Leadership • Supervise QA, lab staff, shift operators, cleaning-line workers, and packing teams. • Train and upskill staff on SOPs, hygiene, safety, and process standards. • Build a results-oriented, disciplined, and accountable team culture. 5. Customer Interaction & Support • Provide technical support to sales teams and customers on quality specifications. • Participate in customer audits, factory visits, and sampling processes. • Ensure timely resolution of quality-related customer issues. ⸻ Skills & Qualifications Educational Requirements • B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Agriculture Engineering, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field. Experience • 5–10 years of experience in agro-commodity processing, spice processing, or seed processing industry. • Strong working knowledge of quality systems, production workflows, and compliance audits. Technical Skills • Expertise in seed processing equipment (cleaners, graders, sortex, pulverisers, roasters). • Understanding of HPLC, moisture meters, microbiology, and other QC instruments. • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and food-safety systems. • Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
