Job Description

Role Expectations:

1. Test Planning & Execution

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive
test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
based on functional and business requirements.
Conduct
manual testing
of mobile (iOS and Android) and web-based trading/FinTech applications.
Perform
functional, integration, regression, UI/UX, and end-to-end testing
across multiple environments.
Validate financial transactions, trade flows, and data consistency across back-end and front-end systems.

2. Defect Management

Identify, document, and track defects using tools like
JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar
.
Work closely with the development team to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects.
Participate in regular bug review and triage meetings.

3. Domain-Specific Testing

Verify trade execution, order matching, portfolio management, risk, and settlement functionalities.
Validate integrations with market data feeds, payment gateways, and third-party financial services.
Ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial data and calculations.

4. Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
Contribute to test documentation, release notes, and quality metrics.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum).

5. Quality Improvement

Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements to enhance product quality.
Participate in
UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
with internal or external stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in Manual QA for FinTech or Trading platforms (e.g., stock trading, forex, crypto, wealth management, or payment systems).
Strong understanding of trading workflows (order lifecycle, execution, settlement, etc.).
Experience testing Mobile Apps (iOS & Android) and Web applications.
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Proficiency with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools (basic level desirable).
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify edge cases.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
