Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and other required supplies.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
Conduct cost analysis, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of raw materials within the sector.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements related to procurement.
Collaborate with production, quality, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with organizational goals.
Maintain and optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions where needed.
Develop strong relationships with suppliers across South India and other key regions.
Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and documentation for audits and management reviews.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Commerce, Agriculture, or related fields.
MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management (preferred).
10+ years of experience in procurement within the industry.
Strong understanding of raw materials, supply markets, and vendor ecosystems.
Proven negotiation skills and experience in high-volume procurement.
Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in procurement systems, SAP/ERP tools, and MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Preference for candidates originating from or based in South India due to regional sourcing requirements.
