Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager with a strong background in mechanical component procurement, vendor development, and strategic negotiations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely availability of high-quality components and services that are critical to our automation systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Purchasing: Manage procurement of mechanical parts such as actuators, sensors, motors, precision machined components, sheet metal parts, and robotic assemblies.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers for mechanical and electrical components. Develop strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular vendor audits and performance evaluations.
  • Cost Negotiation & Optimization: Lead price negotiations and implement cost-saving initiatives. o Analyze supplier quotations and develop accurate cost comparisons.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with design, production, and inventory teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels. o Resolve supply bottlenecks and delivery delays proactively.
  • Contract & Compliance: Draft and manage purchase agreements, NDAs, and other vendor-related documentation. Ensure compliance with quality standards and legal requirements.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical procurement within an industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Proven negotiation skills with cost-conscious mindset.
  • Excellent communication, vendor relationship, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
