Purchase Manager

Location: Wada (Palghar), Maharashtra

Factory-Based Position – Located on Manor-Wada Road

Pick & Drop Facility Available from Mumbai for candidates residing between Borivali and Boisar

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations at our manufacturing facility in Wada (Palghar). The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of hands-on procurement experience, preferably in the snacks, food manufacturing, or FMCG sector, along with mandatory expertise in ERP software such as Oracle, SAP, or any other equivalent system. This role involves overseeing the sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and services, while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely supply.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

· Develop and execute purchasing strategies to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other essential supplies.

· Analyze consumption trends and production forecasts to plan procurement schedules.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or timelines.

2. Vendor Management

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.

· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors to secure the best value.

· Monitor supplier performance and build strong, long-term vendor relationships.

3. ERP & Purchase Operations

· Manage all procurement activities through ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

· Ensure timely creation of Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).

· Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases in the ERP system.

4. Cost & Quality Control

· Ensure procurement of materials as per required specifications and company quality standards.

· Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to handle non-conforming goods.

· Track price fluctuations and market trends for critical inputs and raw materials.

5. Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and statutory regulations.

· Maintain documentation for audit readiness, including vendor contracts, POs, quotations, and delivery records.

· Collaborate with finance for timely payment processing and with inventory teams for stock accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience: 5–10 years of relevant procurement experience in FMCG, snacks, or food manufacturing industries.

ERP Expertise: Mandatory hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar procurement systems.

Technical Skills: Strong negotiation, sourcing, and analytical skills; understanding of procurement best practices.

Tools: Proficient in MS Excel, ERP modules, and vendor management tools.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities; ability to manage pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
