Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Engineer Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Industry: EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) Location: Noida Experience: 3–5 years (modify as needed) Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or relevant engineering stream Key Responsibilities: Procurement Planning & Execution: Understand project BOQ and technical specifications to source the required materials, equipment, and services. Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand procurement needs and schedules. Create and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) to vendors and subcontractors. Vendor Development & Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and subcontractors for various packages. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors. Maintain and update an approved vendor database with performance records. Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Achieve cost savings through effective negotiations, alternate sourcing, and bulk procurement. Analyze vendor quotations and prepare cost comparison sheets for management approval. Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies. Ensure timely delivery of materials and monitor the status of pending orders. Coordinate with logistics for shipping, customs clearance, and site delivery. Quality & Compliance: Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and project specifications. Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and testing as required. Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and safety requirements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation (POs, invoices, GRNs, etc.). Generate regular procurement reports for project managers and management. Support in internal and external audits as required. Key Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of EPC industry procurement practices Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs Vendor negotiation and relationship management skills Good command of MS Office, ERP (SAP / Oracle) or procurement software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Preferred Industry Experience: EPC / Infrastructure / Power / Oil & Gas / Industrial Construction / Process Plant Projects Job Types: Full-time, Fresher Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
