About the Role

New Era Cleantech is spearheading a multi-billion-dollar coal-to-chemicals project with a strong emphasis on decarbonization, clean energy, and value-added industrial transformation. This pioneering greenfield initiative represents a nationally significant milestone in India's sustainable industrial development.

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Project Planner to develop and manage the integrated project schedule. This role is critical to ensuring the timely execution of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project scheduling, risk tracking, stakeholder coordination, and project controls for large, multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the master project schedule, including critical path analysis, key milestones, and phase-wise deliverables.

Prepare detailed schedules at all levels using Primavera P6 and MS Project, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

Work with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to synchronize planning and execution timelines.

Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, flag deviations, and escalate delays or risks to management in a timely manner.

Prepare and maintain project budgets and cashflow statements, ensuring updates reflect project progress and forecasted expenditures.

Conduct schedule impact assessments, evaluate mitigation strategies, and support recovery planning.

Participate in all project meetings, prepare weekly MIS reports, record minutes, track action items, and ensure timely closure.

Prepare and track weekly look-ahead plans, activity trackers, and progress monitoring dashboards.

Suggest progress improvement strategies using Critical Path Method (CPM) and PERT analysis.

Prepare and maintain the project risk register, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigation measures tracked.

Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of information and alignment with schedule objectives.

Prepare regular dashboards, schedule performance reports, and executive summaries for senior management.

Maintain all relevant planning documentation, logs, and communication records.

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

Diploma from NICMAR is preferred.

Hands-on experience in project planning and controls for large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.

Strong understanding of EPC workflows, interdependencies, and construction sequencing.

Proficient in project planning tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and related software.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in schedule forecasting, budget tracking, and risk analysis.

Effective communicator with experience in managing multi-stakeholder project environments.

Organized and proactive, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
