Project Director
Location: Bangalore (Head Office)
Reporting To: Managing Director
Experience Required
- 15 to 25 years of experience in
Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
- Proven track record of handling large-scale, multi-sector projects with financial accountability under PMC.
- Strong exposure to planning, budgeting, P&L management, and business development under PMC.
Position Overview:
The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight
for multiple construction projects across diverse sectors. This role carries full
responsibility for project delivery, financial performance (P&L), and business
development. The ideal candidate will come from a strong PMC background and
possess a proven ability to manage teams, budgets, client relationships, and
business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and oversee planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-value projects across sectors such as Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Hospitality.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement robust project management systems and processes.
- Drive operational excellence through resource optimization, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Financial Management (P&L Ownership)
- Own the Profit & Loss performance for all projects within the assigned region, ensuring financial targets and profitability benchmarks are consistently achieved.
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and forecasts, aligning financial planning with delivery timelines and contractual commitments.
- Authorize and oversee cost plans, resource allocations, and procurement budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of funds and alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Track revenue realization and cash flow performance, coordinating closely with Finance and Operations teams for timely billing and collections. Identify and implement cost optimization measures, enhancing efficiency without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
- Provide financial insights and variance analyses to leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions for sustained profitability.
Business Development
- Support the Business Head / Managing Director in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Participate in proposal preparation, client presentations, and negotiations.
- Contribute to market intelligence and business growth strategies.
- Take complete ownership of business development activities across the assigned business vertical.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Build and sustain long-term client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
- Lead proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations end-to-end.
Driving Excellence
- Develop and execute market intelligence and growth strategies, including competitor analysis, sector mapping, and new market entry.
- Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure alignment between client expectations, project delivery, and business objectives.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary project teams across locations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Drive capability building and performance improvement initiatives within the PMC team.
Stakeholder & Client Relations
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure transparent communication, proactive issue resolution, and
- consistent project updates.
- Represent the organization in client meetings and progress reviews.
Education Qualification:
- Minimum: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory – PMC background)
- Preferred: MBA in Sales & Marketing ( Preferred)

- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
