Job Role: Project Accountant
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage project accounting – budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition & cost tracking
2. Monitor and report on project costs, variances, and risks
3. Prepare & analyze financial reports with accuracy and compliance (GAAP/IFRS)
4. Collaborate with Project Managers & Finance teams on project performance
4. Maintain SAP project accounting data (WBS, cost centers, settlements)
5. Support month-end closing, audits, and process improvements
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA or equivalent is a plus)
2. 5+ years of experience in project accounting
3. Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, PS modules) and Advanced Excel
4. Strong analytical, organizational & communication skills
5. Preferred Industry Experience: EPC / Oil & Gas / Shipping / Engineering & Construction
