Job Title: Production Manager (Mechanical) Location: Ahmedabad Department: Manufacturing / Production Experience Required: 10–20 Years Preferred Industry: Induction Heating / Heat Treatment / Induction Melting / Capital Equipment Manufacturing / Heavy Machinery Manufacturing / Mechanical Manufacturing Position Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager (Mechanical) with 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in mechanical manufacturing, preferably with exposure to induction heating, hardening, or heating equipment manufacturing . The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of optimizing production processes in a dynamic, high-precision environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full production lifecycle including planning, scheduling, execution, and delivery of mechanical components and systems. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary production team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal process controls. Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve bottlenecks. Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness through lean principles and automation initiatives. Implement and maintain preventive maintenance strategies for production equipment. Develop and track production KPIs and deliver regular reports to senior leadership. Play an active role in capital projects and technology upgrades, especially those related to induction heating or thermal processing systems . Support R&D and product development teams in prototyping and scaling new heat treatment solutions. Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 10 to 20 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing or production management. Key Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and mechanical systems. Preferred experience in induction heating, hardening processes, or thermal treatment manufacturing. Familiarity with ISO/TS quality standards and safety compliance frameworks. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Proficiency in ERP systems and production management software. Preferred Attributes: Hands-on knowledge of induction heating systems, heat treatment processes , or metal hardening applications. Experience managing custom or batch-based production environments.
