High-Level Description:

The Production Head is a seasoned professional responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations at Reckon Diagnostics, ensuring efficient, high-quality production of rapid diagnostic tests and related products. This role encompasses managing production processes, supply chain, quality control in collaboration with the Quality Head, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The Production Head will also play a key role in cost management, process optimization, and supporting new product development from a manufacturing perspective.

Accountability:

 Accountable for meeting production targets and delivery schedules.

 Accountable for the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing operations.

 Accountable for maintaining compliance with relevant quality standards and

regulatory requirements.

Responsibility:

 Oversee and manage all aspects of the manufacturing process for rapid diagnostic

tests and related products.

 Collaborate closely with the Quality Head to ensure product quality and adherence to

quality management systems.

 Manage the supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, and inventory control.

 Ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.

 Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards (e.g.,

ISO 13485, GMP).

 Lead and manage the production team, fostering a culture of efficiency and

continuous improvement.

 Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, process optimization, and

productivity enhancement.

 Assist in the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes for new

products.

 Monitor and analyse key manufacturing performance metrics (e.g., yield rates, cycle

times, production costs).

Reporting Structure:

 Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO), Directors

 Direct Reports: Production Managers, Supply Chain Manager, Compliance Manager

(if separate from Quality).

 Indirect Reports: Production Staff, Warehouse Personnel, Procurement Specialists.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

 Production Output vs. Target.

 Manufacturing Cost per Unit.

 On-Time Delivery Rate.

 Process Efficiency Improvement (e.g., reduction in cycle time, yield improvement).

Competency Requirements:

 Technical: Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes for rapid diagnostic tests

and related medical devices. Understanding of quality management systems (e.g.,

ISO 13485, GMP), supply chain management principles, and regulatory requirements

for medical device manufacturing. Proficient in using relevant manufacturing software

(e.g., ERP systems), data analysis tools, and spreadsheets for production planning,

performance monitoring, and cost analysis.

 Functional: Strong experience in production planning and control, inventory

management, cost accounting, process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six

Sigma). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

 Behavioural: Strong leadership and team management skills, results-oriented,

attention to detail, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, proactive and

problem-solving mindset.

Experience:

 Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations within

the medical device or diagnostics industry, with significant experience in managing

production of rapid diagnostic tests or similar products.

 Demonstrated success in improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, and

ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Gorwa, Vadodara, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
