Production Engineer

Role Overview

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end production process of aluminum and steel façade components. You will ensure projects are executed with precision, within deadlines, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed daily/weekly production schedules in coordination with the planning and project teams.
• Review and interpret fabrication drawings, cutting lists, and material requirements for façade elements like curtain walls, cladding, louvers, and canopies.
• Supervise the fabrication processes, including cutting, routing, machining, assembling, and finishing of aluminum and steel components.
• Ensure proper utilization of CNC machines and manual tools, while adhering to operational efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and stores departments to ensure the availability of materials and tools.
• Monitor manpower productivity, reduce rework and waste, and drive continuous process improvements on the shop floor.
• Conduct in-line inspections, resolve fabrication-related technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and ISO quality standards.
• Maintain daily production reports, machine utilization logs, and ensure proper documentation for traceability.
• Train and guide production technicians, fitters, and helpers to maintain consistency and performance.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action plans for quality non-conformities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• 5–6 years of hands-on experience in a façade or metal fabrication industry (Aluminum/Glass/Steel systems)
• Expertise in reading and executing production based on façade/shop drawings and fabrication details
• Working knowledge of CNC routing machines, saw cutting, assembly tools, and quality instruments
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and basic production planning tools
• Sound understanding of safety protocols, lean manufacturing, and 5S implementation
• Ability to manage production manpower and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills
