Role Overview:PDI Technologies is seeking a Product Owner focused on Data to support and expand the data capabilities of our loyalty solutions. This role is ideal for a PO who is passionate about data-driven products and experienced in enabling teams that deliver scalable data services, pipelines, analytics, and reporting capabilities. As the Product Owner for the Loyalty Data team, you will work closely with engineering, Product Managers, analysts, customers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver high-value data features that power consumer-facing loyalty experiences, operational reporting, segmentation, personalization, and downstream integrations. You will drive product requirements for data ingestion, data modeling, data quality, APIs, event streams, and insights ensuring that the Loyalty Platform continues to be robust, reliable, and optimized for data-centric business outcomes. Experience with data platforms, data engineering workflows, analytics tools, or consumer data systems (CRM, loyalty, personalization engines) is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesStay aligned with and contribute to the product vision, roadmaps and prioritiesWork closely with Support to understand and prioritize customer reported issuesWork closely with system users (customers, partners, consulting) to understand product needs and translate into actionable user storiesWork with technical astuteness, be detailed oriented and proactive in driving closure and optimizing throughput of development teamsServe as a product evangelist, particularly with Product Managers and Business teams, to help them understand the best practices of using the platformContribute and develop documentation for new features including user interface mockups, process and data sequence diagramsAttend sprint planning meetings, work with the team to define sprint goalsGuide agile teams in breaking down user stories and defining acceptance criteriaEnsure that product backlogs are prioritized, and properly balanced between product and maintenanceCollaborate with teams to review output during sprints, answer questions about desired functionality/outcomesEnsure the team has the appropriate number of stories in the backlog prepared for sprint planning, monitor ready stories vs. velocityConduct backlog refinement meetings, sprint reviews and product demosManage product backlog in ALM tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etcAuthor and publish product release notes and customer notificationsOwn Release PlanningQualifications4 – 5 years of experience working as a business analyst, product manager, product owner or similar roleAt least 2 years of experience working as an Agile product ownerStrong understanding of data concepts: data modeling, data ingestion, ETL/ELT, APIs, event streaming, data quality, and data governanceAbility to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, business-friendly explanationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with data, reporting, dashboards, or data validationExcellent documentation abilities, including data requirements, diagrams, and user story creationStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence decisions without authorityHighly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilitiesCollaborative, curious, and proactive in learning both independently and through inquiryUnderstands best-practice standards, departmental policies, and software development processesIn-depth knowledge of Agile principles and practicesPreferred QualificationsDomain experience in Convenience Retail, ERP, Logistics, or financial/transaction processing solutionsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Data/Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experienceBehavioral CompetenciesEnsures AccountabilityManages ComplexityCommunicates EffectivelyBalances StakeholdersCollaborates EffectivelyPDI is committed to offering a well-rounded benefits program, designed to support and care for you, and your family throughout your life and career.  This includes a competitive salary, market-competitive benefits, and a quarterly perks program.
