Job Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

At Charitable Impact, Product Management is a discipline of analysis, communication, and performance stewardship. It exists to ensure that product decisions are informed, measurable, and connected — translating strategic vision into structured and actionable knowledge that can be understood and acted upon across disciplines.

Product Managers at Charitable Impact transform high-level strategy into actionable knowledge, maintain transparency across teams, and monitor the performance of the product or features in the market.

In practice, this means working closely with Engineering, UX Design, Marketing, and CX to align data, insights, and priorities helping teams stay grounded in evidence, and focused on outcomes.

Product Management at Charitable Impact is not a layer above other disciplines, but a craft that makes complexity manageable, measurable, and clear. It’s a discipline of exceptional knowledge management and data analysis.

This role is designed for a curious and collaborative decision-maker — someone who brings decisiveness without dominance, values rigour and structure, and approaches every challenge as an opportunity to create clarity through partnership.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable, evidence-based plans that connect intent to measurable outcomes.
  • Develop clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that define.
  • what we’re solving — not how it should be designed or built.
  • Maintain organized, transparent documentation that reflects current priorities and evolving understanding.
  • Support a steady, predictable rhythm of delivery through thoughtful planning and communication.
  • Work alongside UX, Engineering, Marketing, CX and Data to create shared clarity around objectives, scope, and outcomes.
  • Support the flow of information across teams — connecting insights, decisions, and dependencies so that work moves forward with transparency and shared understanding.
  • Coordinate the integration of measurement loops into ongoing work incessantly and consistently— ensuring that data, feedback, and experimentation are built into every stage of delivery, and product performance in the market is monitored at all times.
  • Collaborate on setting up experiments and A/B tests, contributing to hypotheses and measurement frameworks alongside other disciplines.
  • Monitor product feedback and CX channels, helping surface trends and prioritize what matters most to users and the business.
  • Record and maintain visibility of scope and progress across product streams, supporting teams in staying aligned without constraining their autonomy.
  • Participate in portfolio-level coordination with Lead PMs and the Director of Product Management to ensure a coherent picture of progress and performance across initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

  • Product documentation is clear, complete, and continuously updated.
  • Teams share a unified understanding of what’s being built, why it matters, and how success is measured.
  • Delivery is consistent, transparent, and informed by data. Roadmaps remain visible, realistic, and responsive to evidence.
  • The Product Management discipline operates with confidence — a trusted source of clarity, rhythm, and analytical insight.

Qualifications

At Charitable Impact, we value people who lead through clarity, not control. We’re looking for someone who approaches Product Management as a discipline of service, structure, and alignment, someone who’s eager to learn, adapt, and grow in a modern, collaborative product culture.

Specifically, we’re looking for:

  • 4–7+ years in product management roles (complex SaaS or platform environments preferred).
  • Excellent technical writing skills (requirements, user stories, and success metrics) and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Agile workflows and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, SAFe, etc).
  • Experience working within Agile trains (or squads) model across product streams.
  • Solid ability to partner with UX and Engineering to define scope and manage delivery.
  • Data-driven mindset, able to define and measure product outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Humble, curious, and organized approach to teamwork.
  • Experience working in distributed teams and across time zones.
  • A collaborative and co-ownership mindset.
  • AI literacy or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for product operations is an asset.
