: Procurement and SCM Specialist

Role Objective

To manage end-to-end procurement, vendor development, supply chain coordination, and cost optimization for timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services across multiple project sites in India.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

  • Handle sourcing and procurement of raw materials, turf, tiles, civil materials, sports equipment, etc.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders (PO), negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors.
  • Coordinate with Project, Engineering, and Store teams to ensure timely procurement as per BOQ and site needs.

Vendor Management & Development

  • Identify and develop a reliable vendor base across India for material, transport, and service requirements.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations based on quality, price, lead time, and compliance.
  • Maintain updated vendor records, contracts, and performance reviews.

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Plan and coordinate dispatch, transport, and delivery of goods to multiple project locations.
  • Track shipment status and resolve logistical delays or discrepancies in coordination with site teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation for inbound and outbound materials (invoices, GRN, DC, etc.).

Cost Control & Negotiation

  • Analyze procurement costs, negotiate bulk pricing and long-term contracts with vendors.
  • Work closely with the Finance team for purchase planning and budget tracking.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality or delivery.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory norms (GST, e-way bills, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed procurement logs, PO approvals, delivery notes, stock-in, and reconciliation.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Act as a bridge between the purchase, project, warehouse, and accounts teams.
  • Maintain and share weekly MIS reports on procurement status, vendor payments, and material flow.
  • Assist in the digitalization of procurement tracking (Excel/ERP/Inventory tools).

Key Requirements

  • Education

    : Graduate in any discipline; PG/Certification in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management is a plus.
  • Experience

    : 4–7 years in procurement and supply chain, preferably in construction, infra, sports infra, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Skills

    :
  • Strong vendor network and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of BOQ-based purchasing and project-based procurement
  • Understanding of taxation (GST), freight, and logistics
  • Proficiency in Excel, Tally/ERP/Procurement software
  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities
  • Travel

    : Willing to travel to project sites or vendor locations as needed
