Job Description

Power Architecture Engineer

Location:

Job Type:

Notice Period:

About the Role:

We are looking for a Power Architecture Engineer to join our Power Architecture Group. In this role, you will work on end-to-end power design and optimization—including ASIC power analysis, power architecture, low-power design, power-aware verification, advanced power methodologies, UPF flows, silicon bring-up, and post-silicon power correlation for state-of-the-art products.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to power analysis by architecting, developing, verifying, and correlating power estimation models and tools.

Architect and design system-level power features to optimize dynamic and leakage power across various use cases.

Perform structural, functional, and power-aware verification of power features. Develop test plans, write testcases, and build verification components such as monitors, assertions, and coverage.

Drive verification convergence across RTL, Gate-level, and Silicon.

Validate power features on silicon, conduct detailed studies, and contribute ideas to improve performance per watt.

Support development of advanced power management solutions and drive innovation in energy efficiency across the product portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

B.Tech/M.Tech with 1+ years of relevant experience in areas such as power analysis, low-power design, power-aware verification, UPF, or power correlation.

Strong understanding of power fundamentals including transistor-level leakage and dynamic power in VLSI circuits.

Solid knowledge of digital design and Verilog.

Hands-on familiarity with low-power techniques like multi-VT, clock gating, power gating, voltage islands, DVFS, etc.

Background in power estimation methodologies, flows, and algorithms.

Knowledge of power intent formats such as UPF/CPF.

Experience with power verification tools—Static (e.g., VCLP/CLP) and Dynamic (e.g., VCS-NLP or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Good programming skills, especially Python (OOP experience preferred).

Exposure to power analysis tools (e.g., PTPX, EPS) or hands-on experience with lab power measurement setups (oscilloscope/DAQ) is a plus.
