Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Production Management

• Plan, organize, and direct all manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met in terms of quality and quantity.
• Supervise the entire plant processes – Pre-treatment (Size reduction, Roasting, Gravity separation etc) ,Steam distillation, Solvent Extraction, Supercritical CO₂ (SFE), Spray Drying.
• Finished Goods blending for spice essential oils and oleoresins in coordination with the Sales team to match the client approved samples.
• Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Implement continuous process improvements to reduce RM losses, reduce solvent loss, improve yields/outputs, and increase throughput.
• Preparation and maintenance of management related systems in plant – MIS, Stock, Client samples system, Sales system, Internal records
• Guide the plant team on optimum utilization of available resources
• Verification of purchase requests raised by different departments for inventory management
• Oversee and guide the plant in production activities (from planning to execution) during the absence of the Production Manager.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with FSSC, FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, HALAL, KOSHER and other relevant standards.
• Oversee and Approve QA/QC protocols from raw material inspection to final product release.
• Head the R&D and quality teams to resolve product or process issues.
• Ensure proper records are available for traceability of all materials from incoming RM to outgoing FG.
• Maintain documentation in line with international food safety standards.
• Head the Food Safety Team and lead all quality audits in plant
• Knowledge on QC test methods in the industry and instruments like GC, HPLC, UV, Refractometer, Polarimeter etc.
• Oversee and guide the plant in quality activities (from planning to testing) during the absence of the QC Manager.
• Collaborate as part of the technical panel to develop client-specific match samples, ensuring alignment with specified sensory, functional, and quality requirements.

3. Maintenance & Engineering

• Knowledge of all process equipments and utilities including Hammer Mill, Flaker, Roaster, Distillation units, Extractors, Evaporators, Stripper, Pumps, Vacuum Pumps, Dryers, Chiller, Cooling towers, RO, Softener, Boiler, ETP etc.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Work with the engineering team to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Ensure proper dosing of chemicals are done for all utilities in order to maintain the life of the machine.
• Monitor and optimize electricity consumption by tracking daily usage patterns, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs.
• Ensure optimal boiler performance by monitoring key operating parameters, minimizing fuel consumption, and implementing best practices for energy efficiency.
• Ensure timely cleaning of all utilities like storage tanks, strainers etc

4. People Management & HR Coordination

• Manage plant workforce, including shift in-charge, operators, technicians, and contract labor.
• Ensure proper training, performance management, and discipline.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Check and verify the daily attendance of staff and submit a monthly report.

5. Supply Chain, Inventory & Logistics

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials like spices, solvents, packaging materials, spares etc.
• Oversee in-plant logistics, storage, and dispatch of finished goods.
• Maintain inventory control systems.

6. EHS & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Enforce workplace safety standards and organize training and audits.
• Liaise with government bodies and inspectors for plant licensing and inspections.

7. Strategic Initiatives

• Support new product scale-ups and commercial trials in collaboration with R&D.
• Contribute to capacity expansion projects and plant upgrades.
• Benchmark best practices and adopt modern technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per year
