Plant Head

We are searching for a Plant cum Location Head for a leading Shoes Manufacturing company, based in Paonta Sahib.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Operations & Production:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the entire manufacturing plant.
• Ensure smooth execution of the production plan, optimum resource utilization, and timely order fulfillment.
• Drive productivity, process efficiency, and minimize downtime.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and monitor stringent quality control processes at every stage.
• Collaborate with QA teams to meet both domestic and international quality standards.

Dispatch & Logistics:

• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods.
• Coordinate with supply chain/logistics to manage inbound and outbound materials effectively.

People Management:

• Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, and stores.
• Manage workforce planning, training, and skill development.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety norms and statutory compliance at the plant site.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, EHS standards, and company policies.

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and inventory levels.
• Drive cost optimization across operations.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

• Contribute to annual business planning, budget forecasting, and operational strategy.
• Regularly report performance metrics to senior management.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• 12–18 years of relevant experience in footwear/shoes manufacturing industry.
• Strong exposure to production planning, quality systems, dispatch, inventory control, and team management.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and end-to-end plant operations.
