Job Purpose

The Career Services Officer/Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing career development programs, employer engagement initiatives, and student career counseling services. The role aims to enhance students’ employability, strengthen industry linkages, and support successful career outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Career Development & Guidance

  • Provide individual and group career counseling sessions to students.
  • Conduct workshops and training programs on resume writing, interview skills, networking, and career planning.
  • Guide students in identifying career paths aligned with their strengths, skills, and aspirations.

2. Employer & Industry Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruiters, industry leaders, and corporate partners.
  • Identify and secure internship and job opportunities for students across diverse sectors.
  • Organize career fairs, recruitment drives, employer networking events, and industry interaction sessions.

3. Placement & Internship Coordination

  • Manage the end-to-end campus placement process, including employer outreach, interview scheduling, and offer finalization.
  • Oversee student internship programs, ensuring compliance with academic and organizational requirements.
  • Track and report placement statistics for internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Management, Education, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience in career services or corporate relations (experience in higher education preferred).
  • Strong industry network and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with career services software/portals is an advantage.
