Job Description Role & Responsibilities- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for employees in India Work with payroll vendors and audit payroll data for APAC region. Oversee the processing of equity compensation for employees. Ensure the accurate reporting and taxation of equity compensation in compliance with local regulations and calculate taxes related to Equity. File OPI on a timely basis. Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes Manage internal and external audits relating to payroll Handle payroll inquiries and resolve issues efficiently Independently identify and recommend new procedures to streamline payroll operations. Conduct required or necessary research (through government contacts, internet research etc.) to provide accurate, current and verifiable information, guidance and assistance to employees on payroll related subject matters Manage, complete and reconcile all payroll Year End Tax Summaries (Federal & Provincial/State), timely filing and distribution of annual Tax Forms, Provincial/State Health Tax Returns, Workers Compensation year end returns. Be a Company liaison with Governmental Tax body, and all required government and third party agencies, relating to payment of deductions and premiums; Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience in payroll administration with a strong focus on equity compensation. In-depth understanding of Indian tax laws, payroll regulations and equity compensation programs Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to details, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks Good communicator, building relationships, able to make connections between various internal and external contacts Clear oral and written skills, effective questioning and active listening. Adapts his/her communication style when necessary Able to provide suitable guidance and advice for different audiences Able to work as both a team player and independently, with minimal supervision.
