Payroll Manager

Role Overview:

The Manager – Payroll will be responsible for end-to-end payroll management for 2000+ employees, ensuring 100% accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement. The role requires strong expertise in managing payroll through external vendors, statutory compliance, audits, and process automation while ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee

  end-to-end payroll operations

  through the payroll vendor for 2000+ employees across multiple locations.
• Ensure

  timely, accurate payroll processing

  including salary, variable pay, incentives, overtime, reimbursements, and settlements.
• Partner with and

  monitor vendor performance

  , ensuring adherence to SLAs, compliance, and data accuracy.
• Ensure strict compliance with

  statutory requirements

  (PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.) and handle related filings/returns.
• Act as a point of contact for payroll-related

  employee queries and issue resolution

  .
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Compliance teams for reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
• Drive

  automation, digitization, and process improvements

  to enhance payroll efficiency and employee experience.
• Maintain

  confidentiality and data security

  of all employee payroll information.
• Prepare and publish

  payroll MIS, dashboards, and compliance reports

  for management review.

Key Requirements:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce/Finance/HR with

  8–12 years of payroll management experience

  , preferably in BFSI/Financial Services.
• Proven experience in managing payroll through

  third-party vendors

  for large employee bases (2000+).
• Strong knowledge of

  payroll processes, statutory compliance, and taxation

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  HRMS/Payroll tools

  and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent

  analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

• High integrity with ability to handle
