Position title: Operations Team Lead

Location: Pune

Employment Type: Full-time


Job Overview

The Operations Team Lead/Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse, order processing, and fulfillment operations. The role ensures seamless coordination across picking, packing, quality control, and dispatch functions while maintaining high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and team performance. This position is critical in driving operational excellence and ensuring service-level commitments are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Order Processing Operations

  • Supervise daily activities related to order picking, packing, quality checks, and dispatch.
  • Ensure smooth and timely execution of all fulfillment tasks.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Allocate tasks, monitor attendance, and manage shift schedules.
  • Track and enhance team productivity through continuous guidance and performance monitoring.
  • Train, coach, and support team members on workflows, SOPs, and systems.

Compliance, Quality & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with warehouse safety standards and audit requirements.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.

Inventory & Process Coordination

  • Track inventory movement within the warehouse and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and replenishment teams for smooth stock flow.
  • Support regular cycle counts and reconciliation activities.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor Turn-Around Time (TAT) and ensure all orders meet Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on productivity, quality, errors, and overall performance metrics.
  • Highlight operational risks, delays, or issues with timely escalation.

Required Skills & Experience

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, or e-commerce order management platforms.
  • Understanding of warehouse workflows, inventory handling, and fulfillment processes.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a process-driven approach.
  • Proven leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Mandatory Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce operations or warehousing/logistics environments.
