Job Family Definition
Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Role Overview
We are seeking skilled
Node.js Developers
with 4+ years of experience in building
scalable, high-performance backend applications and APIs
. The role requires strong hands-on coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, expertise in Node.js frameworks, and the ability to work within microservices and cloud-native environments.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:
- Backend Development
- Design and develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js.
- Implement microservices-based architectures for scalability and resilience.
- Build reusable modules, libraries, and services.
- Integration & Databases
- Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
- Work with message queues and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
- Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Next.js, Flutter) for seamless integration.
- Performance & Optimization
- Optimize backend services for high throughput and low latency.
- Implement caching strategies and load balancing.
- Conduct code reviews, profiling, and performance tuning.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
- Follow secure coding practices to prevent XSS, SQL injection, and other vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and enterprise security standards.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with DevOps to containerize and deploy services (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
- Provide L2 support for production issues and bug resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of professional backend development experience, with at least 2+ years in Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Experience with frameworks like Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
- Hands-on with REST, GraphQL, WebSockets.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development practices.
Preferred Knowledge
- Experience with serverless frameworks (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).
- Exposure to API Gateways (Kong, NGINX, Apigee).
- Knowledge of event-driven and real-time applications.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, Cypress).

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Preferred certifications:- JavaScript/Node.js professional certifications.

- Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
- Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
- Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment.

- 5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total).

Ability to write relevant components of a proposal document (e.g. answer specific RFP questions). Ability to translate verbal requirements from face to face client meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals.
- Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements, able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver. Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work package.
- Ability to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and /or reports/documentation for delivery.
