Job Summary The MIS Executive oversees the collection, analysis, and reporting of data from various sources to provide actionable insights to management. This role involves maintaining and optimizing the company's information systems, generating reports, and ensuring data accuracy and security. The MIS Executive often works with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions. Roles and Responsibilities Data Management and Analysis: Collect, consolidate, and clean data from different departments (e.g., sales, finance, operations). Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all databases. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive business improvements. Reporting and Dashboards: Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards to management. Create customized reports as needed (ad hoc reports) to support specific business decisions. Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) scorecards. System Management and Maintenance: Maintain and update existing Management Information Systems (MIS). Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues related to operating systems, software, and networks. Collaborate with the IT department to implement system upgrades and new software. Strategic Support: Provide data-driven recommendations to management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Understand business requirements and custom-curate solutions to make processes more efficient. Contribute to strategic planning by offering insights from data analysis. Training and Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users on data management tools and systems. Create and maintain MIS documentation for smooth operations and easy system maintenance. Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and confidentiality by implementing and monitoring protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations. Required Skills and Qualifications Educational Background: B Com Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions, macros, and pivot tables). Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Solid knowledge of database management systems, including SQL. Familiarity with various MIS tools and concepts. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex data to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
