Job Title: State Channel Sales Manager - Doors & Windows Location: West Bengal - Base City: Kolkata with extensive travel throughout the state. With a strong focus on expanding our market presence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to drive our channel sales growth across India Job Summary: The State Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to expand our market reach for doors and windows across the assigned state by identifying, appointing, and managing a strong network of dealers. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in channel sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the building materials industry. Key Responsibilities: Channel Development & Dealer Appointment: Identify and thoroughly research potential dealers/distributors across various districts/cities within the assigned state for doors and windows. Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence on prospective partners, assessing their financial stability, market reach, infrastructure, and commitment. Negotiate and finalize dealer agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions. Onboard new dealers, providing comprehensive training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies. Develop and implement strategies to achieve state-wide dealer network expansion targets. Sales & Revenue Generation: Set sales targets for appointed dealers and monitor their performance against these targets. Drive primary and secondary sales through effective dealer management and support. Implement promotional schemes and marketing initiatives in coordination with dealers to boost sales. Regularly review sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned state. Dealer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with all dealers, acting as the primary point of contact. Provide ongoing support and guidance to dealers, addressing their concerns and challenges promptly. Conduct regular dealer meetings to discuss performance, market trends, and upcoming initiatives. Ensure dealers have access to necessary marketing collateral, product samples, and technical support. Facilitate training programs for dealer sales teams to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills. Market Intelligence & Strategy: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences within the doors and windows segment. Gather market intelligence on new product developments, pricing strategies, and sales practices of competitors. Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams based on market insights. Contribute to the development of state-specific sales strategies and annual business plans. Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records of dealer information, sales activities, and market feedback. Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market analysis reports, and expense reports as required. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in channel sales, with a proven track record in the building materials industry (doors, windows, hardware, paints, sanitaryware, etc.). Demonstrated experience in dealer appointment and channel development across a geographical region. Strong understanding of the construction and real estate market dynamics. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business partners. Results-oriented with a strong commitment to achieving sales targets. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Willingness to travel extensively (approximately [e.g., 60-70]%) within the assigned state. Fluency in English and the regional language of the assigned state is essential.
