Location: RMC Head Office – Bhadohi

1. Role Objective
To act as the key communication link between buyers, design, production, and QA teams, ensuring seamless execution of sampling and orders from inquiry to dispatch. The Merchandiser is responsible for timely coordination, accurate costing, process adherence, and maintaining buyer satisfaction through disciplined follow-ups and effective communication in line with RMC’s merchandising SOPs.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Buyer Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain clear and professional communication with buyers for inquiries, sample updates, and order feedback.
  • Record all buyer correspondence and approvals systematically in communication trackers.
  • Coordinate with design, QA, production, and accounts teams to ensure all buyer requirements are met.
  • Support in resolving buyer queries and ensure timely closure of communication loops.

B. Sampling Management

  • Raise and process sampling requests based on buyer briefs with proper internal approvals.
  • Coordinate with R&D, CAD, and production teams for sample development and review progress daily.
  • Ensure samples are dispatched as per buyer timelines and maintain sample history records.
  • Document approvals and maintain sample performance data in the sampling tracker.

C. Order Execution & Tracking

  • Prepare detailed order sheets capturing buyer POs, approved specs, and all relevant instructions.
  • Follow up with production for loom allocations, weaving progress, and finishing milestones.
  • Coordinate with QA for inline and final inspections as per SOP requirements.
  • Monitor production and finishing schedules closely to prevent delays and escalate potential issues to the Merchandising Head.

D. Costing, Documentation & Dispatch Coordination

  • Assist in cost-sheet preparation and verify all consumption and rate details for accuracy.
  • Work with Accounts and Export Documentation teams to finalize dispatch paperwork.
  • Ensure buyer-approved packaging, labeling, and shipment conditions are fully met before dispatch.
  • Track shipments and update buyers with dispatch confirmations and tracking details.

E. Process Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure 100% data accuracy in all merchandising trackers (sampling, order, costing, QA).
  • Follow RMC SOPs for documentation, approvals, and internal communication.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports covering progress updates, pending orders, and buyer communication summaries.
  • Support in monthly review meetings with performance updates and improvement suggestions.

  • Buyer product specifications and export requirements

5. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, or Business Administration
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in carpet or home furnishing merchandising (export-based)
  • Hands-on knowledge of sampling coordination, cost sheets, and buyer communication
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and internal reporting tools

6. Reporting & Coordination

Merchandising Head: Sampling and order review, approvals, and escalation handling
Design / CAD Teams: Sampling briefs, design corrections, and spec pack alignment
R&D / Production Teams: Sampling progress and production scheduling
QA Team: Inline and final inspection coordination
Accounts / Documentation Teams: Cost verification, invoicing, and export documentation
Buyers / Buying Agents: Communication, approvals, and dispatch updates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
