PRODUCTION HEAD

Role: Production HeadRole Definition

The Production Head is responsible for leading and managing all production activities related to rugs and carpets across multiple units. He ensures that manufacturing processes operate efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to delivery timelines. As the ultimate head of all production units, he supervises Unit Heads and supports related functions such as purchase, QC, packing, and shipping, facilitating smooth operations and continuous process improvement.

Key Tasks and Activities

Production Planning & Management Develop and oversee detailed production schedules for all units, ensuring timely completion of orders. Allocate resources effectively across units and monitor daily production activity. Support Unit Heads in resolving operational bottlenecks, disruptions, or delays. Implement best practices and SOPs for weaving, dyeing, finishing, and packing processes.

Quality Control & Standards Compliance Ensure all production meets quality standards, client specifications, and compliance certifications. Collaborate with QC Head in conducting regular inspections and audits. Address quality issues proactively, implementing corrective actions and process improvements.

Cost Management & Efficiency Monitor production costs, wastage, and productivity metrics. Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce wastage, and improve margins. Coordinate with the Purchase and Planning teams for raw material availability and cost control.

Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor Unit Heads, artisans, and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs, and organize skill enhancement programs. Promote knowledge sharing and best practice adoption among units for efficiency gains.

Supporting Functions & Collaboration

• Support Purchase Head in ensuring timely/raw material availability. Support QC Head in inspection routines and quality assurance processes. Collaborate with Packing and Shipping Heads for seamless order fulfillment and dispatch. Work closely with the Operations Head for overall strategic alignment and resource planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
