Roles Responsibilities:
Planning:
Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production forecasts, service needs, and inventory targets.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and service teams to align material availability with operational needs.
Buying & Inventory Management:
Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum, Oracle and Digital Cockpit expert
Execute purchase orders for raw materials, components, in line with PSI & Service order requirements.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Track order status and expedite deliveries to avoid production delays.
Work on NPI Materials planning based on NPI execution timelines to meet organization goals.
Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) & minimize obsolete material
Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
Review parts availability for rolling 3 months & maintain healthy DOH inventory for production purpose.
Ensure systemic stock accuracy wrt Physical Part by conducting frequent cycle counts.
Supplier Management:
Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Resolve issues related to Logistics, Customs Clearance, delivery discrepancies, quality concerns, and invoice mismatches.
Systems & Reporting:
Use ERP systems like Oracle, ASCP to manage planning and procurement activities.
Generate reports on inventory status, purchase order tracking, and supplier performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering Streams.
3–5 years of experience in materials planning and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare technology environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization principles is a plus.
APICS Certification & Green Belt Certification
