About the Founders

As part of the position, you’ll work with the founders. Stephen Turban is a McKinsey & Company alum, a Harvard College graduate, and a former PhD student at Harvard Business School. Dhruva Bhat is a graduate of Harvard College, a Rhodes Scholar, and a PhD student at Oxford University.

About the position

As a Marketing Associate, you’ll work closely with the business development team (specifically, the marketing team) and the head of marketing to build Lumiere’s online presence, supporting growth across key digital and physical touchpoints. Your work will be a blend of strategy, execution, and experimentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive Lumiere’s digital presence

  through a mix of inbound and outbound marketing strategies, including SEO, blog content, email, and social media.

• Lead marketing operations

  , including:
• Creating and managing high-quality marketing collateral — such as articles, blogs, brochures, and decks — in collaboration with designers, writers, and editors.
• Coordinating timelines, edits, and approvals to keep content production on track.

• Own the website user experience

  , ensuring clarity, accessibility, and conversion optimization.

• Track, analyze, and report performance data

  using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, content management system (CMS) dashboards, and social insights.

• Support the development of a scalable marketing strategy

  , identifying bottlenecks, opportunities, and levers for growth.

• Run high-impact special projects

  , such as:
• Designing and executing A/B tests on messaging, creative, or channels
• Exploring and piloting emerging marketing trends and tools
• Testing and launching new social media initiatives

Qualities we are looking for

• A marketing generalist with some experience spanning content/SEO, social media marketing, and performance marketing.
• A strong background in content writing and editing content copy (experience in the North American market is highly preferred).
• Results orientation and a can-do attitude.
• Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
• Comfort using marketing tools (such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Wix, and Hubspot)
• Comfort with data visualization & presentation.
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, Reddit and Twitter. 
• Bringing both creative and analytical approaches to improve marketing efforts
• Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• 2+ years of experience in marketing (growth and digital) is a great plus
• Understanding of the undergrad education system in the U.S. is a great plus

• Lumiere is a virtual-first company and we are open to candidates being from anywhere., We prefer that team members are located between timezones GMT +2 to GMT +8, since most of our team is in Asia!
