About the Founders

As part of the position, you’ll work with the founders. Stephen Turban is a McKinsey & Company alum, a Harvard College graduate, and a former PhD student at Harvard Business School. Dhruva Bhat is a graduate of Harvard College, a Rhodes Scholar, and a PhD student at Oxford University.

About the position

In this role, you will get a 360-degree view of a fast-moving education start-up, including its operations, strategy, and product launches. Work will include a mix of building new products, company-level strategy, and operations (e.g., launching a new product, meeting with external stakeholders, etc.). Your job is to support the different avenues of growth that the team takes up. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee the recruitment of 300+ teaching and support faculty across all of our locations
• Establish a professional flow of communication with all seasonal staff, updating them of deadlines for submitting teaching materials, sending reminders and first-day arrival instructions
• Generate applications by advertising through a variety of channels
• Track applicants from initial application through to contracting and compliance via Salesforce
• Manage our online talent marketplace for academic tutors, Spacewalk
• Liaise regularly with operational delivery teams to understand hiring requirements and vacancy volumes
• Ensure all contracts and relevant compliance paperwork have been completed before the contract start date, as appropriate for the country in which the programme takes place
• Organise the payment of seasonal staff at the end of their contract
• Identify and implement technological improvements, such as automating or streamlining processes
• Headhunt urgent and/or specialist vacancies
• Produce regular performance and progress reports

• Passion for education
• Excellent operational ability and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Living in a timezone between GMT+2 and GMT+9 or willing to relocate
• International exposure through academic experience or work experience
