About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tester to join our dynamic team, based remotely in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

Key responsibilities include:

• Test Planning & Execution: Design detailed and structured test plans, scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Execute manual tests to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
• Defect Identification & Management: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps. Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution and re-verification of fixes.
• Database & Backend Validation: Perform data validation and integrity checks across backend systems and databases using SQL queries to ensure consistent and reliable data handling.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Adapt testing efforts based on iterative changes and feedback.
• Quick Learning & Adaptability: Grasp complex business workflows and technical systems rapidly, and apply that understanding to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.
• Testing Tools & Debugging: Leverage developer and QA tools (e.g., Postman, browser dev tools, log analyzers) to support debugging and analysis of test results.
• Effective Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, BAs, and project managers. Provide clear and concise test documentation, updates, and reports to stakeholders.

We are looking for:

• Computer Science BSc or above
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Proficiency in using developer tools and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to programming languages (.NET)
• Experience with Linux based machines
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments
