Role Purpose

The Manager – Total Rewards will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role will drive competitive benchmarking, evaluate roles, manage equity and incentive programs, and provide analytics-driven insights to ensure fairness, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Compensation & Benchmarking

  • Conduct salary benchmarking studies with external partners and market surveys to ensure competitiveness of compensation structures.
  • Analyze compensation trends and recommend adjustments to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Ensure pay structures are aligned with business strategy, performance, and industry standards.

2. Job Evaluations & Grading

  • Lead job evaluation exercises using standard frameworks to ensure consistency in grading and leveling across the organization.
  • Support managers and HRBPs in drafting and evaluating new roles.
  • Maintain updated job architecture and leveling framework for the organization.

3. Incentives & Rewards Programs

  • Design, implement, and manage

    short-term incentive (STI)

    programs (performance-based bonuses, sales incentives, etc.).
  • Manage

    long-term incentive (LTI)

    programs including equity/stock options, retention bonuses, and deferred payouts.
  • Monitor incentive effectiveness and recommend enhancements to align with business growth and talent retention strategies.

4. ESOP & Equity Management

  • Administer and manage the company’s ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) including grants, vesting, and compliance.
  • Partner with legal, finance, and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of equity programs.
  • Educate employees on ESOPs and long-term wealth creation opportunities.

5. Benefits & Policy Management

  • Oversee benefits programs (insurance, wellness, retirement, etc.) and continuously improve employee value proposition.
  • Evaluate and propose new benefits in line with employee needs and market trends.

6. Rewards Analytics & Insights

  • Develop dashboards and reports to track compensation spend, pay equity, attrition risks, and incentive effectiveness.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal audit standards.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits frameworks, benchmarking tools, and market practices.
  • Expertise in job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Hay, Towers Watson frameworks).
  • Experience in ESOP and incentive management.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Leadership).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.


Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM in HR, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3–4 years in

  • Experience in managing rewards in fast-paced, high-growth organizations (preferred: consumer internet, retail, e-commerce, or related industries).
  • Hands-on experience with HR analytics and rewards systems/tools.
