Job Description

Manager or Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and review of complex financial reports in compliance with US GAAP and STAT accounting standards.
Analyze underwriting profit and loss components, identifying trends and key profitability drivers.
Manage variance and flux analysis across multiple legal entities and reporting periods.
Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver strategic financial insights and support business decisions.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Lead and coordinate internal and external audit engagements, including timely resolution of audit queries.
Utilize Workday for financial management and reporting, and Anaplan for planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CA preferred.
12–15 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 6–10 years in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
Proven experience in financial reporting for multinational insurance businesses.
Deep understanding of US GAAP and STAT regulatory frameworks.
Expertise in underwriting P&L components: premiums, claims, commissions, expenses, and reinsurance (ceded and assumed).
Strong grasp of key insurance metrics: combined ratio, loss ratio, expense ratio, and net written premiums.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
Hands-on experience with Workday and Anaplan platforms.
