Job Description

Role Overview: As a Manager at Mastercard, you will have the opportunity to formally supervise and coach multiple feature teams of business rule authors engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to lead these teams in building, enhancing, and supporting various rules-based products and services to deliver internal or market-facing Products, Platforms, or Product bundles. Collaboration with business/product owners to develop and deliver new services for introducing innovative products and bundles will be a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Establish objectives and development plans at the beginning of each year and continuously review them throughout the year. - Recruit and hire top talent to ensure the team is composed of individuals who excel in their roles. - Conduct recurring 1-1 meetings, manage career development, and identify individuals at risk to actively engage and enhance team performance. - Provide timely feedback, coaching, and mentoring to staff at all levels. - Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation while meeting business needs within your area of ownership. - Drive strategic thinking and leadership across various applications, systems, or software development methodologies. - Benchmark and enhance engineering productivity, quality, and technology policy compliance within your area of ownership. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Solid understanding of software methodologies and the ability to work with little supervision. - Developed leadership skills, high energy, attention to detail, and proactive nature. - Initiative, self-motivation, willingness to learn, and ability to handle challenging opportunities. - Strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, collaboration skills, and organizational proficiency. - Capacity to train and guide more junior resources will be a valuable asset in this managerial role.,
