Job Description

As a Supply Chain Manager for large-scale solar energy projects, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Possessing strong expertise in detailing civil works, roads, fencing, electrical systems, module cleaning systems, and other related services. - Identifying, evaluating, and establishing strong working relationships with service providers within the solar energy sector. - Leading the tendering process, including RFP preparation, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalization for EPC services and other Balance of System (BOS) components. - Ensuring strict adherence to company policies, project specifications, technical requirements, and quality standards. - Monitoring supplier performance, tracking delivery schedules, and proactively resolving supply chain challenges to prevent project delays. - Collaborating closely with project managers, engineering teams, and site execution teams to ensure seamless deployment of services. - Addressing and resolving service partners" grievances promptly to avoid disruption in project timelines. - Managing procurement budgets and cost optimization initiatives without compromising on quality or timelines. - Overseeing inventory control, material forecasting, and demand planning for smooth project execution. - Developing and implementing supply chain risk management strategies, including alternate sourcing and contingency planning. - Maintaining updated market intelligence on pricing trends, new vendors, and emerging technologies in the solar EPC industry. - Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards during procurement and vendor operations. - Driving continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred). - Minimum 7-10 years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in the solar energy/EPC sector. - Strong knowledge of civil, electrical, and solar BOS components. - Proven track record in vendor management, contract negotiations, and procurement planning. - Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and MS Office Suite. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders. - Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
