Job Description

Roles & responsibilities
  • Lead Agile Execution: Drive the end-to-end Agile delivery process across multiple teams or programs. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with a focus on continuous improvement and team empowerment.
  • Coach and Mentor: Act as a mentor to Scrum Masters and Agile team members. Promote Agile values and principles, and help teams mature in their Agile adoption. Provide guidance on best practices and help resolve team-level challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and timelines. Act as a bridge between business and technology teams.
  • Backlog and Planning Support: Assist Product Owners in backlog grooming and prioritization. Ensure that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development. Help teams plan realistic and achievable sprints.
  • Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify and remove blockers that impact team productivity. Escalate issues when necessary and facilitate resolution through collaboration and negotiation.
  • Agile Metrics and Reporting: Track and report key Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team health indicators. Use data to drive decisions and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine Agile processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Lead initiatives to standardize practices across teams and contribute to organizational Agile transformation.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation including business requirements, epics, user stories, and process flows. Ensure compliance with internal governance and audit requirements.
  • Tool Management: Maintain and optimize Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms. Ensure accurate tracking of work items and visibility across teams.
  • Change Agent: Champion Agile culture and mindset across the organization. Lead workshops, training sessions, and Agile onboarding for new teams or members.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
  • JIRA: Strong proficiency in managing boards, workflows, and sprint tracking.
  • MS Office Suite: Especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Power BI / Alteryx: Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools is often expected.
  • SQL: Basic understanding for data queries and integration support.
  • Agile Tools: Experience with Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and manage BRDs, epics, user stories, and process flows
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work with cross-functional teams across geographies (India & US).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with business and technical teams.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in mentoring junior Scrum Masters and leading multiple Agile teams.

Preferred Technical & Functional Skills

  • Agile delivery in AI/Research environments – Experience managing iterative, exploratory work with evolving requirements and research dependencies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Ability to coordinate between data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Risk and ethics awareness in AI – Familiarity with responsible AI practices, model governance, and compliance considerations.

Qualifications

This role is for you if you have the below

Educational Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MS in Project Management or Technology) is often preferred, especially for senior or enterprise-level roles.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are highly recommended and sometimes required.
