Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, including Ind-AS (Indian Accounting Standards).
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Strategic Planning
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and business strategies.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditure proposals with clear ROI analysis.
• Cost Control
• Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overheads.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements across plants and functions.
• Conduct variance analysis (budget vs actual) and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports, MIS, and dashboards to the executive team and board of directors.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Team Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the finance function and with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, sales, etc.).
• Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit points.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional 15+ years of overall experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing industry finance.
• Strong background in plant finance, costing, budgeting, and business partnering.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Ind-AS, taxation, and corporate finance.
• Hands-on experience in ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP / Oracle / similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
  

Soft Skills

• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
