Job Title: Manager - Legal

Location:Mumbai / Bangalore

Role: Manager - Legal

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, including but not limited to:

Vendor agreements,Service agreements,NDAs, MOUs,Partnership and channel agreements

  • Providing legal advisory to business teams on operational, regulatory, and contractual matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with legal opinions, contract interpretations, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinating with internal teams (Finance, HR, Compliance, Operations) on legal matters.
  • Maintaining contract repositories and legal documentation.
  • Handling and managing civil, criminal, consumer, and commercial litigation matters.
  • Experience in dealing with Court notices, summons, and orders,Police notices, complaints, FIRs, and investigations
  • Coordinating with external advocates, law firms, and counsels for filings, hearings, and case strategy.
  • Preparing case briefs, responses, affidavits, and supporting documentation.
  • Tracking litigation timelines, court dates, and ensuring timely compliance with court directions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for law enforcement authorities when required.
  • Maintaining litigation trackers, MIS reports, and status updates for management.


Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B). A Master’s degree or specialisation in Technology, IP, or Financial Laws is a plus.
  • Enrollment with State Bar Council is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience in digital marketing, fintech, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in handling data privacy, advertising standards, and financial regulations..

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian laws, especially contract law, civil & criminal procedure.
  • Hands-on experience in litigation handling and court process management.
  • Ability to independently manage police interactions and sensitive legal matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal interpretation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance corporate advisory work with litigation demands.
