Network Infrastructure Engineer and Vice President
Purpose Of The Role
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer for Network Operations, will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure (Lan/Wi-Fi/ ISE/ ACI) within the organization. You will lead a team of network professionals, ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of the network environment. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing network best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities & Kpis Of The Role
The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible to:
- Restore faults and proactively maintain network infrastructure for both fixed and wireless
- Plan operational readiness and acceptance for new projects and configurations.
- Support 24/7 operation, manages Technician’s activity, and resolves issues before it get escalated
- Engage with OEM / ISP’s /contractor and define objectives on incident management
- Schedules routine preventive maintenance to avoid major incident and fault occurrence.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with the required procedures and standards on network activities including the installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining and testing of network systems and solutions
Responsibilities
Network Operations Management
- Manage and supervise the network operations team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Identify and resolve network-related incidents, outages, and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with network-related policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Strategy and Planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and develop network infrastructure plans.
- Participate in the evaluation, selection, and deployment of network hardware, software, and tools.
- Coordinate and execute network configuration changes, upgrades, and migrations.
- Conduct network capacity planning and forecasting to support future business needs.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
- Prepare regular reports on network performance, incidents, and capacity utilization.
- Contribute to the development of network-related policies, procedures, and guidelines
Network Performance Optimization
- Proactively monitor and analyze network traffic, performance metrics, and utilization patterns.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement optimization strategies to enhance network performance and efficiency.
- Conduct periodic network audits to ensure adherence to performance and security standards.
- Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
People Management
- Manage the operation and admin

- Making sure the good work done by the teams is reflected in IT Newsletters and other communication channels
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand network requirements and align network services with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external partners to ensure smooth network operations and service delivery.
- Communicate network-related updates, issues, and project statuses to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a technical escalation point for network-related incidents and provide timely resolution.
Operating Network
Key interactions which are essential to execute the role. This will include both internal (excluding sub-ordinates) and external stakeholders.
Internal:
Operations Department, Finance Department, Human Resource Department, Compliance Department, etc.
External:
Vendors, Contractors, Regulatory Agencies, Local Authorities, etc.
Role Profile Requirements
Education
- Essential: Any Bachelor Degree
- Preferred: BE/BTech/BSc-IT
Experience
- Essential: Proven experience (12 plus years) in network operations, with a focus on managing enterprise-level networks in lead role ( Level-4) for minimum 7 Years.
- Preferred: Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, ITIL etc.)
