Junior Cost Accountant

You will not just be entering data; you will be the "eyes on the floor" for the finance department, ensuring that our Bills of Materials (BOMs) reflect reality and that our inventory valuation is precise. We are looking for someone who has cut their teeth in the packaging industry and is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Costing:

  Assist in calculating accurate costs for new and existing packaging products (VCI films, wooden boxes, pallets) by maintaining up-to-date Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.

• Variance Analysis:

  Track standard costs vs. actual production costs. Identify variances in material usage, scrap, and labor, and report findings to the Senior Finance Manager.

• Inventory Valuation:

  Participate in monthly physical stock audits at the Manesar plant. Reconcile physical stock with ERP records and investigate discrepancies.

• Pricing Support:

  Help the sales team with basic margin analysis and cost inputs for customer quotations.

• Data Accuracy:

  Ensure all material receipts and consumption entries in the ERP system are accurate and timely.

Mandatory Requirements (Please Read Carefully)

• Experience:

  2–3 years of core cost accounting experience is required.

• Industry Background:

  Must have experience in the Packaging or Manufacturing industry.

  You should understand terms like "yield loss," "scrap recovery," and "extrusion/converting costs."

• Linguistic Proficiency:

  You

  MUST

  be fluent in

  English, Hindi, and Tamil.

• This is a strict requirement to coordinate effectively with our diverse internal teams and regional partners.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

  B.Com, M.Com, or ICWA (Inter).

• Tech Stack:

  Strong command of

  MS Excel

  (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are daily tools) and familiarity with ERP software (Tally/SAP/Odoo).

• Attributes:

  High attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to work from the Manesar plant location.
