.As a Junior Accountant, you will assist the senior accounts team in handling accounting entries, reconciling transactions, preparing tax documents, and maintaining up-to-date financial records. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial activities are properly documented and comply with statutory regulations and internal company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations including billing, invoicing, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
- Record all financial transactions accurately in Tally ERP and ensure timely posting of entries.
- Prepare, file, and reconcile GST returns, TDS records, and other statutory filings as per government regulations.
- Maintain a systematic filing of all accounting documents, vouchers, receipts, and invoices for audit and verification purposes.
- Assist the senior accountant and finance manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth processing of bills, purchase orders, and reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and inter-company transactions on a regular basis.
- Assist in monitoring outstanding payments and follow up for collections and due invoices.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting principles, and statutory norms.
- Support management in preparing data for budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (preferred).
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good understanding of GST regulations, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle billing, vendor payments, and purchase order (PO) management with accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent numerical aptitude and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with vendors and internal teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling financial data.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting procedures and tools.
