Inventory Controller

Inventory Controller Department: Operations / Procurement & Inventory Job Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and analytical Inventory Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory records for over 10,000+ SKUs across multiple locations. The role requires deep expertise in data management, vendor coordination, purchase planning, and procurement negotiations. The ideal candidate must have advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle large data sets efficiently while ensuring smooth stock flow across stores and channels. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management & Data Accuracy Maintain updated inventory records for all stores, warehouse, and online channels. Track inward and outward stock movement, inter-store transfers, and consumption. Identify stock discrepancies and coordinate audits to ensure accuracy. Create and manage inventory master sheets and SKU databases. 2. Purchase Orders & Material Planning Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) based on demand forecasts and stock levels. Track pending POs, delivery timelines, and stock replenishment schedules. Coordinate with the accounts team for vendor billing and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) updates. 3. Vendor Relations & Procurement Maintain strong relations with existing vendors and develop new sourcing options. Handle price negotiations, bulk discounts, and procurement contracts. Ensure on-time procurement and quality checks of received goods. 4. Reporting & Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and purchase reports. Analyze stock movement, aging reports, reorder levels, and fast/slow-moving items. Create cost control and consumption reports for management review. 5. Systems & Process Optimization Maintain data accuracy across ERP systems / Google Sheets / Unicommerce (if used). Improve inventory control systems and workflows. Coordinate with store managers, e-commerce, and warehouse teams for smooth stock alignment. Skills & Qualifications Required: Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Business / Operations or equivalent. Minimum 2–4 years of experience in inventory control or procurement. Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Validation, etc.). Experience in handling 10,000+ SKUs or large data sets. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Experience with ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Key Attributes: Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data handling.
